The
Greater Bucky Open, Inc. is a fundraiser golf outing
with proceeds benefiting the UW Health's American
Family Children's Hospital and Bucky Badger student
mascots. The event is always held on a home UW football
weekend and includes a variety of fun activities.
The golf outing itself is not your ordinary event
as we have many prizes and contests for every range
of golfer; for example, we have trophies for worst
shot of the day, shortest drive, and we tie up inflatable
Cows to the pins on a few par 3s and have a Closest
to the Cow contest.
Besides
all of the shenanigans that go on during the GBO
weekend, we also get to visit the UW Health's
American Family Children's Hospital to deliver
donated toys and bring general good cheer to the
children. The kids are always very excited to
see Bucky and are appreciative of the fun toys!
It is truly the highlight of the weekend and we
encourage everyone to get involved however they
