Greater Bucky Open - September 27, 1998

The GBO Gang
This second tourney consisted of 20 hackers, a new GBO attendance record. Playing a scramble format, Ray Bates, Tim Corcoran and Dean Olson came away with the low team gross with a 63. This is two years in a row for Tim Corcoran owning the title of GBO champion and he admits that this is one of his greatest accomplishments in his life.
Again, Jon Horsfall came away with most beers consumed honors although we had a new worst shot of the day winner with Nate Wilke. For those of you who know Nate's golf game, that shouldn't come as a surprise. Longest putts sank were by Mark "Hosea" Rewey and Dennis Leonard.

The Wulfs
Jeff Wulf got lucky and hit the Longest Drive on #7 and I won longest drive on #13 with my 8 iron. Chris Prestigiacomo took closest to the pin honors on #12...nice arm Presto.
After golf we loitered underneath the tent in back of the clubhouse and watched the 2nd half of a Packer victory. Good time was had by all and we even had a special guest appearance from Bucky Badger himself!
