| Three
times a charm was this years GBO motto as Mother
Nature served us up another beautiful Wisconsin
fall day. For the third year in a row, I am pleased
to announce that we set a new attendance record
of 28 "golfers". Besides some goodies that were
handed out to everyone including some classic Wisconsin
hats, this year we went all out and had trophies
for the winners of each contest. |

Jeff
"Hungry Like the" Wulf, Little Dean Nolden, and
Big Bob Thorpe captured this years low gross title
with a 6 under par 66 which included 2 eagles. By
the way, two-time defending champion Tim Corcoran
was unable to defend his title this year due to
a broken wrist...the big wuss. |

| "E"
Hewitt sank the longest putt on #3, Matt "Lenny"
Leonard smacked the longest drive on #7. Mike Vilstrup-ped
his way to the Closest to the Pin honors on #12.
Wulf cut the corner and won the Longest Drive on
#14. Dennis "Lenny Sr" Leonard sank the longest
4 foot putt on #18. |

In
the 2nd biggest upset of the day, the worst shot
did not go to Nate Wilke but went to Lenny Jr as
he somehow managed to hit a tee shot backwards.
And yes, yours truly took home most beers consumed
honors taking the title away from the perennial
H-man! Unfortunately the NYC team was shut out from
the statues although they would have won an award
for the most detailed scorecard...check it out to
the left. Chris "Miss the Cut" Kelly could not last
throughout the weekend after a strong performance
on Friday night and only contributed 2 shots for
his team all day long. |
|
| After
golf, most of us headed to the Hilltop for some
more refreshments while we watched the Packers easily
beat the Vikings on a last second 4th down play.
This year we made our first contribution to the
UW Badger Fund for the Bucky Badgers. |
