| Thanks
to you individuals, we the GBO raised enough money to
donate $25,000 this year, up from $10,000 in 2004 continuing
our five year streak of doubling our annual donation.
This is quite the wonderful accomplishment and you are
responsible for making this happen. I am also proud to
announce due to our low overhead, 100% of sponsors' monetary
donations will once again be passed through directly to
our recipients. |
 |
| EXCITING
NEWS The GBO met with University of Wisconsin Children's
Hospital (UWCH) representatives and the Family Waiting
Room in the Hematology/Oncology Unit of the new Children's
Hospital will be named the "GREATER BUCKY OPEN LOUNGE."
We committed to raise $50,000 for the UWCH in order to
make this happen. There is work to be done to accomplish
this goal, but it is truly rewarding to see our GBO grow
and really make a difference. |

| WEEKEND
RECAP SEPTEMBER 23-25, 2005 |
 |
Friday's
visit to the UW Children's Hospital was as moving
as ever. Bucky Badger, eight members of the UW football
team, Wisconsin's Secretary of Revenue Michael Morgan
and the GBO staff delivered donated toys and brought
good cheer to the kids. It is an amazing experience
to see these kids' (and parents') spirits raised
when Bucky & Co. make the rounds. |
|
| Saturday's
tailgate at The Stadium Bar was as entertaining
as ever. Hosted by four Elvis dudes and a Banana-Man,
good times were had and our GBO Banner was proudly
displayed for all to see. The Wisconsin-Michigan
game was an instant classic. Watching Stocco's QB
sneak into the end zone with only seconds remaining
in the game was awesome. Watching Barry Alvarez's
fist pumping and jumping as he left the field was
awesome. Walking out of Camp Randall with loud and
happy Badger fans was awesome. |

 |
Sunday's
GBO was a success. While we were challenged by some
remnants of Hurricane Rita, GBO spirits held high
even though we were wet. We raised almost $5k at
the silent auction and raffle. This year's winning
foursome of Danny Nicholas, Jim Stark, Phil Gryglas
and Dan Kanninen played extremely well under wet
conditions and are taking home the Bucky Bowl with
a score of -14. Two groups finished with -13 and
several more turned in respectable score cards.
