Carson Huebel
Shortly after twins Carson and Caden were born on March 14, 2012, their parents learned that Carson had two very serious health problems involving his esophagus and his heart.
Carson’s esophagus was not formed correctly and to save his life, he would need to have a somewhat risky surgery almost immediately. In addition, Carson was diagnosed with a very serious heart defect known as Tetrology of Fallot.
Carson, who weighed barely three pounds at birth, survived the emergency esophagus repair, but he still needed major open heart surgery that had to wait until he was six months.
Watch Caron's story and learn how physicians from multiple hospitals came together to make a difference in this little boy's life.
